‘A Pink to Remember’ fashion show

AYALA Center Cebu culminated its annual Think Pink, Live Pink campaign with A Pink to Remember, a fashion show for a cause, at The Gallery last Oct. 30. The pink celebration was in partnership with the Make-Up Artist Club of Cebu, Clothes for Life Incorporated, A.T.E. by Tatah, FIDA and Rotary Cebu Fuente District 3860.

Hosted by Iris Castillo, the show featured breast cancer survivors, their loved ones and advocates while the Brown Academy of Music Singers and Erwin Yap provided entertainment for the night.

During the whole month of Pink October, the mall held various fund-raising events and activities from symposiums, workshops and forums, to photo and fashion exhibits, free check-ups, Zumba sessions and a fun run. Through these initiatives, Ayala and its partner organizations were able to raise awareness on the advocacy and a total of P120,000. The funds were turned over to the ICanServe Foundation Inc. at the culminating event for their early breast cancer detection programs which include information campaigns and community-based screenings.

Ayala Center Cebu is on its eighth year of supporting the cause, being the first mall to embrace the advocacy. It continues to help raise awareness and support hundreds of breast cancer patients every Pink October. (PR)
