Baguio marks Fil-China friendship day

BAGUIO City will mark the 14th Philippine-China Friendship Day on June 9 with a program presented by the city government and the Filipino-Chinese community.

The celebration will open with the unveiling of a historical marker at the Baguio-Hangzhou Sister City Pavilion at the Botanical Garden at 9 a.m.

Mayor Mauricio Domogan and China Laoag City consul and head of post Zhao Quiaoliang will inaugurate the marker.

Domogan and Zhao will then open a photo exhibit depicting the long-time relations of the two countries at the Event Center of SM Baguio.

There will be a book donation and gift-sharing activities later in the day.

The books will be turned over to the Baguio City library under city librarian Fe Requilman while the gift-sharing will be done in coordination with the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development under Betty Fangasan. (Aileen Refuerzo)
