Class ‘95 takes top spot in alumni duckpin elims

CLASS ‘95 took the bright spot after Round 3 in the bracketing identification of the ongoing 2016-2017 NOHS @ 115 NOHSAAI “Unity Cup” Bowling Fellowship Season 1 eliminations at Negros Super Lanes of Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Led by Essho Garcia, Class ‘95 registered a record-breaking team triple score of 1,574 pinfalls in three games.

Garcia likewise rolled the highest single and triple with 145 & 379, respectively.

“Definitely, yes. We will try to test our bowling skills in the competitive group (Bracket A). I trust my teammates,” Garcia said.

The 28 teams play five rounds to identify their bracket divisions. Another five sets will be played in the bracketing finals to determine the highest scoring teams.

The top five squads in each bracket will advance in the stepladder final round while teams that did not qualify play in the consolation game.

Tournament director Rizal Labordo of Class ‘92 issued a warning to players who are not wearing proper uniform.

“They will be deducted a point per frame if they violate this rule,” Labordo stressed.

Games resumes tomorrow, Nov. 19 at 6 p.m.
