A MAN died after his motorcycle hit a Ceres bus along the national highway of Upper Manlubid, Barangay Ali-is in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental, on Wednesday.
Police identified the fatality as Gleen Jemina, of Sitio Baliw, Barangay Bagtic, Mabinay town.
Investigation showed the motorcycle overlapped into the bus’s lane that resulted in the accident. The bus was driven by Cirilo Lapaz of GK Village, Barangay Villareal, Bayawan City.
Jemina sustained injuries and was brought to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
In another development, an elderly woman was found dead inside her house at Sitio Calancas, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, on Thursday, November 24.
Senior Inspector John Ganzon, head of Police Station 4, identified the fatality as Lilia Pabalate, 80.
Pabalate was living alone for a long time and has no immediate family.
Investigation showed that Pabalate has no wounds when found by her neighbor.
Ganzon said Pabalate was sick that might have caused her death.
The barangay officials already facilitated Pabalate’s burial Thursday.
