Fire hits 20 houses in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City

CEBU (Updated) -- Around 20 houses were gutted by fire in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City, on Monday afternoon, November 28.

The Cebu City Fire Department received the alarm at 3:55 p.m. and declared the fire under control at 4:10 p.m.



According to Senior Fire Officer 3 Daniel Relatado, the fire started at the house of a certain Rowena Niyel.

Authorities, however, are still conducting further investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

Relatado said the initial estimated damage is pegged at P50,000.

As of 5:01 p.m., no injuries were reported. (Nicko Tubo/Sunnex)
