SASMUAN -- Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL) Pampanga Chapter President Fritzie David-Dizon expressed gratitude to the provincial government for supporting the education of close to 2,000 college students.
Dizon, ex-officio member of the Provincial Board and Porac town councilor, said the 1,859 PCL scholars will receive P6,000 each. They will get P3,000 per semester.
“The granting of the financial assistance to students was one of my planned projects when I ran for PCL president. I am glad I delivered with the help of my fellow PCL officers,” said Dizon. He added that “I want to deeply thank Governor Lilia Pineda and Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda for all their support to the projects of the PCL.”
Dizon said that the councilors had chosen at least 20 scholars each from their respective constituents.
“We really have to invest more on education because it will ensure a bright future to the present and future generations,” said Dizon. She added that France and Germany have strong economies because both countries invest heavily on education.
Dizon said the PCL officers will also have projects done in collaboration with private firms.
