Padilla: Silahis ng Pasko '16 PMA Cadets Day at the Park on Sunday

LIKE the beauty and gradeur of the shooting star on a December night, the annual Children-Parents Christmas Mardi Gras of Silahis ng Pasko sa Baguio started its meaningful caring and monthlong series of activities Thursday morning. Over 4,000 CSWDO Day Care pupils and their parents clad in colorful and different costumes portraying scenes of the Holy Nativity like Baby Jesus, Mother Mary and St. Joseph, the Three Kings , angels, shepherds and an array of other Christmas decoration symbols, joyfully march-passed along Session Road. The Mardi Gras ended at the Burnham Athletic Grandstand for the city's Yuletide Season opening salvo. City Mayor Mauricio Domogan, Congressman Mark Go led a core of local government officials in greeting and congratulating organizers and participants, together with City Councilors Elmer Datuin and Lilian Fariñas.

A highlight of the occasion also centered on the coronation ceremonies of the Miss and Mr. Little Silahis ng Pasko '16 muses headed by Angelica Joy Villaforte and Kaizer Kail Challoy. A talent show by winners of the "CSWDO Children Got Talents Palabas" thrilled the spectators who were at the grandstand.
