LA TRINIDAD has recently approved an ordinance establishing a Cooperative Development Services Office in the municipality.

The ordinance will serve as a guide to ensure proper and efficient delivery of cooperative services to all registered cooperatives according to Councilor Horacio Ramos Jr.

Ramos cited establishing La Trinidad Cooperative Development Service Office Ordinance will be a venue for cooperatives seeking assistance, monitoring, supervision, and implementation of programs, projects, and activities for such organization.

Ramos further reiterated the municipality recognizes the role of the cooperatives in nation development specifically on the engagements on delivery of certain basic services to their constituents, livelihood projects, and a more convenient way in the improvement and enhancement of economic and social well being of its members.

The alderman meanwhile said one special focus of the cooperative office is to assist groups, specifically the micro and small cooperatives on the submission of their annual progress report and other cooperative related concerns.

It is also a venue to cater needs, network linkages, for meetings and other gatherings of officials and coop organizations with sole purpose of uplifting the lives of coop members and managers through coop development sessions, partnership enhancement, marketing and promotion of La Trinidad organizations, Ramos mentioned.

Ramos added the office will also have specific functions such as conduct of trainings towards development, research, monitoring, evaluation, administration and management, and other duties to perform to improve their service.
