OUR title means “Let Nothing Trouble You. It is an Advent Recollection Concert and Christmas Serenade scheduled for Monday, December 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., at the Apung Mamacalulu Shrine.
Ms. Hina T. Roman, compassionate Capampangan leader, graciously shared with us these Inspiring notes about the Mirabilia Dei group who will perform. Herein are the details:
“With gratitude in our hearts, we wish to acknowledge the wonderful blessings God continues to shower on our music ministry and, of course, through the prayers and generous support of people like you. The Mirabilia Dei Foundation, Inc. is happy to report to you the progress we and the MIRABILIA DEI CHILDREN'S CHOIR, STRINGS ENSEMBLE AND RONDALLA have made this past year.
Some of our scholars are now music teachers and regular members of the Manila Symphony Orchestra. One was chosen to join the Philippine delegation to the 2016 Asian Youth Orchestra. Presently, thirty young new recruits are undergoing training. The construction of the School of Liturgical Music is ongoing. The past year also saw the publication of the latest of the Dalitan ya ing Ginu hymnal series.
The Church has inherited an immense and priceless treasure of sacred music which we must learn to access and use in our time. The Sacrosanctum Concilium reminds us to preserve and foster with great care this treasure. To this we are invited to contribute by using our talents to compose and sing/play music especially in our mother tongue, amanung sisuan. All of us are invited and called to do our part in building up the body of Christ, the Church, of which we are all members.
To mark the end of this remarkable year on a high note and to set our hearts right for this year's celebration of the birth of Christ, our Lord, we have called upon our longtime partner, the Holy Rosary Parish, to help us organize an Advent Recollection Concert and Christmas Serenade entitled Nada te Turbe (Let Nothing Trouble You) on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Apung Mamacalulu Shrine. This unique fusion of an Advent Recollection and a Christmas Concert will be characterized by a soulful medley of prayerful reflections and heartfelt songs rendered by the exceptional Mirabilia Dei Children's Choir and String Orchestra. The prayerful reflections will be led by Rev. Fr. Francis F. Dizon, Rev. Fr. Enrique M. Luzung, Rev. Fr. Eisen John M. Cruz and Rev. Fr. Marianito B. Mallari.
Let us continue singing and making music in our hearts to the Lord, persevering in our shared mission of serving God's Kingdom and making His Son, Jesus our Lord and Savior known and loved and followed by all. May the sounds of the Christmas season be of peace, joy and love that are profoundly felt and generously shared.”
