Former cop turned ‘pusher’ falls in Talibon

POLICE arrested three suspected drug pushers, including a former police officer, in separate operations in the past two days.

At 9:45 a.m. yesterday, operatives of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group and Provincial Intelligence Branch caught former policeman Vincent Crescencio Autor in Barangay San Jose, Talibon, Bohol.

Operatives seized 19 sachets of white crystals believed to be shabu that weighed 1.03 grams worth P12,154. The suspect is a high value target in the province.

Before the buy-bust happened, Autor surrendered to Talibon Police Station and promised not to engage in the illegal drug trade last Nov 18.

Intelligence monitoring, however, showed that the suspect continued to sell illegal drugs.

In two villages in Talisay City, Cebu, Emma Linda Gabod Dalapo, 40, and Eubert Camoro Basalo, 27, were also last Saturday.

More than P10,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from the suspects.

Dalapo was caught in Sitio Mananga 2 in Barangay Tabunok at 1:30 a.m., while Basalo was captured in Sitio Butoy, Barangay Biasong later in the evening.

Police failed to arrest their main target, Danilo “Danny” Bas, in the Biasong operation.

Complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects.

Selling illegal drugs is a non-bailable offense under section five of the said law.
