A MAN was caught in a drug bust conducted by operatives in Sitio Kalubihan 1, Bankal village, Lapu-Lapu City at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, December 6.
Vincent Paulino, 24, was arrested after selling a piece of medium-packed sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth P14,000 to a police poseur buyer.
Police Chief Inspector Mark Sucalit of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office said Paulino is temporarily detained at the LCPO holding cell and will be facing charges on possession and selling of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Francis Anton Toong was caught in a drug bust conducted by police operatives at 11 p.m. in Yati village, Liloan, on same day.
The police were able to confiscate illegal drugs worth P100,000 from his possession.
Police Chief Inspector Franco Oriol, head of Liloan Police Station, said Toong's aunt, Jocelyn Peñalosa, an employee of Commision on Audit, was also arrested after she prevented the police from conducting the drug bust in Yati, Liloan.
