Nora Aunor: 'Stop negativity, support MMFF'

SUPERSTAR Nora Aunor is asking moviegoers to give independent movies a chance at this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Since the announcement of the final eight films included in the 2016 MMFF, many were questioning the screening committee's decision to prioritize indie films over mainstream movies.

But during Aunor's press conference for her entry "Kabisera," she encouraged everyone to set aside differences and negativities for a successful festival.

Hayaan na natin yun," she said.

Tangkilikin nating lahat."

"Kabisera" marks the actress' return in the festival circuit.

Aunor said she's happy to star in this family drama which tackles the issue of extra judicial killings.

Maganda yung mapapanood nila."

She's also grateful to the MMFF screening committee for giving the movie a chance after it was rejected in 2015.

Joining Aunor in the film are Victor Neri, RJ Agustin, Jason Abalos, JC de Vera, and Ricky Davao.

"Kabisera" is directed by Arturo Boy San Agustin and Real Florido. (Sunnex)
