Acosta to grace football finals

DAVAO City First District Councilor Mabel Sunga Acosta will grace the awarding rites after the championship match of the 13th Acosta Cup Ladies Football Tournament set Sunday, December 11, at Tionko Field.

This was bared by her daughter and legal researcher Luna Acosta who guested at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum held at the NCCC Food Cove Function Hall.

She said her mother and father will personally give the medals, tokens, shirts, certificates and trophies to participants after the championship game between defending champion Aguilas Davao and the Philippine College of Technology (PCT) at 3 p.m.

Luna said the annual bootfest, designed for lady footballers, will continue next year.

Meanwhile, the D' Davao Surivors already placed third in the event backed by Vibrant Earthmovers Inc., Jollibee, Tadeco, NCCC, RDL Pharmaceutical Laboratory Inc., Southern Toursit Inn, Ulticon Builders Inc. and Norminring KTM.
