Cop injured in Zamboanga highway accident

A POLICEMAN was injured in a highway accident in an east coast village of Zamboanga City, the police reported Wednesday.

The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) said in a report that the accident occurred around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the village of Culianan, 13 kilometers east of the city.

The ZCPO identified the victim as Police Officer 2 Musa Abduraman, 40, who has been assigned at the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Office.

Investigation showed that Abduraman was driving a motorcycle coming from Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, when he accidentally hit a portion of an "unfinished construction" in the highway of Culianan village.

Abduraman was injured after he crashed into the pavement.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment, said police. (Sunnex)
