THIRTEEN boxes of fake cigarettes were recovered by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Negros Island Region during a raid at De la Rama Building on Luzuriaga Street, Bacolod City Wednesday afternoon.
The counterfeit items were found at the stall owned by Johar Ampatua, 35.
NBI operatives were acting on a search warrant issued by a Bacolod judge following the complaint of cigarette company Mighty Corporation, Bombo Radyo Bacolod reported.
Ampatua said he doesn’t know who delivers the fake cigarettes in his stall.
The suspect is now in the custody of the NBI regional office. (MPE)
