Payment for Davao bombing victims, kin readied

PAYMENT for the Roxas bombing victims and their family members who availed of the 10-day emergency employment by the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) and the City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) will already be available by Thursday, December 22 at the Dole Office in Agdao.

During the weekly presscon at SM Ecoland Monday, Dole Assistant Regional Director Jason Balais said an emergency employment was made available to Roxas bombing victims and their families this month.

About 29 individuals for the first batch availed of this assistance.

Emergency employment is a 10-day program by Dole and CSSDO, in cooperation with the village units of the availing victim.

The employees are required to report to the villages to render clean-up or repair services for 10 days.

They will receive minimum wage salary daily, which would amount to a total of P3,170.

The 10-day program ended before December 15, which means the rendered service was not yet covered by the minimum wage increase which took effect on December 16.
