A NEPHEW of a former chief of the Sta. Ana Police Station was arrested in a drug bust at 8 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, at 21-C village, Poblacion, Davao City.
Chief Inspector Hamlet Lerios, present chief of Sta. Ana Police Station, identified the suspect as Talib Barah Ainin, 29, of Block 71, 21-C village.
"After sa ating test buy, nag-positive tayo, kaya nadakip natin ang suspek (We yielded positive in our test buy that's why we arrested the suspect), who is a nephew of former COP here PCI (Police chief inspector) Hadjirul Ainin, and a brother of an active police assigned at Sasa Police Station," Lerios told SunStar Davao SuperBalita.
Seized from Ainin were three packets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as "shabu" and drug paraphernalia.
Before Ainin's arrest, a drug bust was also staged around 4 a.m. at Room F of Twin H Inn in Matina Aplaya village, Davao City.
Arrested were siblings Habeb Conception Bulang, 30 and Hajan Conception Bulang, 24, both of Zonta Village, Tibungco, Davao City.
Seized from them were four packets of suspected shabu while criminal charges are being prepared against them.
