‘BamFam’ joyous Christmas

WHEN a Christmas song is played, the spirit of Christmas usually fills up every heart of those who hear it.

Spectators and guests alike enjoyed a night filled with live performances by the students of Brown Academy of Music (BAM) held at the Activity Center at Ayala Center Cebu last Dec. 9. BamFam Christmas was the show’s theme and the school’s first Christmas concert brought cheer to one and all since the show was open to the public. The culmination aimed to bring family and friends closer to each other.

BAM is a music school based in Cebu owned by singer Ana Fegi-Brown and her husband Adam Brown. With 70 students enrolled between the months of October and December, the students showcased their talents during the concert through dancing, singing and playing various of musical instruments. This is the fourth and final show for the school year as it will be accepting new students for the next year. BAM opened at the beginning of the year on Jan. 8. It was announced during the closing of the show that the school taught over 500 students in their first year in business.

The program was made up of various Christmas songs, sung both by individuals and groups. From children to adults, all performing light and laid back, the students of BAM nailed every performance.

BAM is located on the second floor of the Northgate Centre in Banilad, Cebu City (across Gaisano Country Mall, beside the University of Cebu-Banilad Campus). The school is currently open for enrollment with limited slots only. The lessons begin Jan. 7, 2017 with a culminating show featuring a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, on April 8, 2017 at Ayala Center Cebu. Janny Betsy Mata, USJ-R Comm Intern
