Heart on cloud 9 after Escudero, parents reconciliation

ALL's well that ends well, as they say.

This rings true for actress Heart Evangelista after her parents, Rey and Cecile Ongpauco, and husband, Senator Francis Escudero, left their bitter misunderstanding behind.

In a "StarTalk" interview aired on Saturday, the television host shared she's still on cloud nine and could not believe that things eventually fall into place.

“Nakakatuwa, medyo on cloud 9 pa ako kasi hindi pa ako makapaniwala sa nangyari,” she said.

“Nakakapanibago at masarap na parang nabunutan na ako ng tinik. Nung birthday dinner ng mommy ko andoon din siya [Escudero] and nag warm up na sila [Ongpaucos].”

According to Evangelista, she fervently prayed for the reconciliation to happen and she made the right decision not to pressure her parents and Escudero to accept each other.

"Every day ko siyang dinasal, every day walang sawa, kahit pakiramdam ko na imposible, na kahit hindi sila pumunta sa kasal ko. Darating ka sa point na pakiramdam mo na wala ng chance. But ever since I was a little girl strong yung faith ko na pag talagang dinasal mo, hiningi mo, at maganda naman ang intensyon mo,” she said.

Now that things are finally settled between the Ongpaucos and Escudero, the Kapuso talent said she's looking forward to spending more family time with her parents and husband.

"Halos araw araw na kami nagkikita. Nawala na talaga lahat. Ang ganda na din ng pakiramdam ko kasi dati parang naghahabol ako ng oras pero wala akong magawa dahil parang ginawa ko na lahat pero hindi maayos. Pero ngayon sulit na sulit lahat," Evangelista said.

In a separate interview, Escudero said he's happy with how things are going.

"Maganda yung nangyayari. Kung ano man yung gusot meron noon ay unti-unti ng naaayos ngayon. Ayoko ma-unsyami kaya hayaan na muna natin na ganun," he said.

Evangelista hinted at reconciliation last week between Escudero and her parents after she posted a photo of her father's visit in their marital home.

She also shared a photo of herself, the senator, and the Ongpaucos sharing a meal.

"And then my life is perfect... I thank God for this moment. Anything is possible with God. Keep your heart pure, keep praying and in God's perfect time... I believed. Miracles happen...wait for yours,” the photo’s caption read. (Sunnex)
