CAMP Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet -- Operatives from Kalinga Police Provincial Office (Kalinga PPO) arrested three personalities who are in possession of suspected shabu, firearm and ammunitions during raid in Tabuk City, Kalinga in the early morning of December 21, 2016.

Superintendent Brent Mudjaco, officer-in-charge of Kalinga PPO said the four search warrants was issued by Judge Victor Dalanao of Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Tabuk City for Violation of RA 9165, known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The search warrants resulted to the arrest of Froilan Agyao Baguiwan, 32, married, resident of Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga who has in his possession two plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, three live ammunitions for Caliber 22, and four empty shells of Caliber 22.

John Bon-As Bocad was also arrested in the drug bust who was in possession of seven sachets of suspected shabu, two pieces of live ammos for cal. 30, and one cal. 45 pistol with Serial Number 123874 with inserted magazine containing six live ammos together with Jimmy Ballong Batang-ay, 36, single, resident of Junction Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

Confiscated from Batang-ay are one heat sealed sachet containing substance suspected to be shabu, one used aluminum foil, cash amounting to P13,600.00, two cellular phones, and improvised tooter.

Meanwhile, La Trinidad’s third top most wanted person (TMWP) including four others as part of the region’s intensified anti- criminality campaign.

Dickstein Gosuden a.k.a “Dickstein Gosodan”, 32, single, freelancer, resident of OD 379, Banneg Tawang, La Trinidad was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jennifer Humiding of Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 63, La Trinidad, Benguet for Syndicated Estafa with no recommended bail bond.

The arrest was made by the tracker team of Police Station 7 of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) on December 21 at around 5:30 p.m. in Lower Magsaysay, Baguio City.

Other arrests during the crackdown were Rexuel Briones Ramos, 29, separated, farmer, arrested in his resident at Purok 5, Naggasikan, Santiago City on December 21 at about 4:15 p.m. for Carnapping with P170,000 fixed recommended bail bond; Nhowel Sacobo Atanacio, 36, married, farmer, arrested in his resident at Sta. Maria, Alfonso Lista, Ifugao on December 21, 2016 at about 9:00 a.m. for violation of RA 9262 known as The Violation against Women and their Children with P24,000 recommended bail bond; Beljimar Botic Nabus, 18, single, Out-of-School Youth (OSY), resident of Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet and arrested in Buyagan, La Trinidad, Benguet on December 21 at about 2:15 p.m. for theft with a recommended bail bond of P20, 000.00; and Jeofrey Bali-On Rivera, 31, married, farmer, arrested in his resident at Barangay Poblacion, Luna, Apayao on December 21 around 9:00 p.m. for rape with no recommended bail bond.

Chief Supt. Elmo Francis Sarona, PRO-Cor regional director, said the successful arrest of the five wanted persons in the region connotes the stronger campaign of PROCOR to maintain peace and order in provinces of the Cordillera. (PRO-Cor–RPIO)
