POLICE arrested three suspected drug pushers in separate operations in the cities of Toledo and Carcar last Thursday.
In Barangay Don Andres Soriano, Toledo City, operatives of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group and Provincial Intelligence Branch caught Ken Cotmaya Mahusay, 40, at 2:35 p.m.
The team seized six packs of white crystals believed to be shabu from the suspect.
The contraband weighed 3.2 grams and was worth P37,760, an estimate set by the Dangerous Drugs Board.
Mahusay is fifth in the list of high-value targets in Cebu Province.
At 10:40 p.m., a text message from an informant to the police led to the arrest of Archie Traya, 22, in a beach resort in Sitio Bantayan, Barangay Tuyom, Carcar City.
Eight packs of suspected shabu were seized from the suspect, a resident of neighboring Barangay Valladolid, Carcar City.
In Barangay Poblacion 1, in the same city, 32-year-old Ervin Generale Sanchez was caught allegedly carrying shabu eight hours earlier.
Two small sachets of shabu, tinfoil, a black pouch and an improvised tooter were seized from Sanchez.
The team led by PO1 Miguelito Abadilla was conducting Oplan Tokhang in Poblacion 1 when they caught Sanchez allegedly carrying the contraband.
Complaints for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the suspects.
