VETERANS Jonathan Pido and HeddaRiola crowned themselves king and queen, respectively, of the 2016 Rizal 55K Ultra Marathon held December 29 and 30 from Tamayong Prayer Mountain to People's Park in Davao City.
Team Titans Davao (TTD) bet Pido checked in at four hours, 51 minutes and 59 seconds to annex the men's title as he raced past Chang Palmes (5:03.21), Percebal Montiabucio (5:52.22) and Michael Lopez (5:58.6) who occupied the next three places.
In the distaff side, Riola registered 5:36.49 to prevail over next three finishers Irene Tan (5:57.27), Gigi Castillo (6:20.37) and Virgenia Tumapon (6:28.20).
The champions received Amihan Hydra Pacl, Soleus watch, finisher's shirt, trophies and medals. (ABM)
