3 drug suspects slain in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Three drug suspects were slain in an armed encounter with police operatives during a drug operation in Barangay Mozon, City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, Tuesday.

Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat, Bulacan police provincial director, identified the slain suspects as aliases Toyo and Dong. The other suspect remained unidentified.

Caramat said that operatives of Drug Enforcement Unit III and City of San Jose Del Monte conducted the buy-bust operation against the suspects at said barangay at about 9:30 a.m.

He said when the suspects noticed the presence of policemen, they fired towards them, prompting the lawmen to retaliate.

The suspects died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of their bodies, Caramat said.

Recovered from the suspects were two caliber .38 revolvers, an improvised short gun, three sachets of shabu and marked money used in the buy-bust operation.
