ANGELES CITY -- A businessman has lauded Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan for his accomplishments in the city as local chief executive for three consecutive terms.
Rene Romero, president of the Romac Group of Companies and vice chair of the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc., said that Angeles City in general has improved under Pamintuan’s leadership.
Romero cited some of the mayor’s programs on health, education, peace and order, environmental protection, infrastructure development and others.
President Rodrigo Duterte recently appointed Pamintuan as chairman of the Regional Development Council in Central Luzon.
Romero expressed support to the mayor as head of the RDC Region III. He said that Pamintuan will be effective in pushing for government programs to make Central Luzon as the country’s next growth center.
Pamintuan is a current adviser of the Philippine government (GRP) peace panel and also the current president of the League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP).
