XTERRA pro Joseph Miller is back in Cebu for his training in the Xterra Asia- Pacific Tour Championships and the World Championships this year.
Miller, the lone Filipino Xterra pro, had a one-year stint in Manila where he joined various events and trained for international races.
“It’s good to be back in Cebu in full swing. (I will be training here) for Xterra Asian Championships and World Championships. There’s no place like Cebu, where it all begun,” said Miller, who first made a mark in Cebu before turning pro in 2014.
Miller, 37, said that he’s excited for this year’s Xterra Asia-Pacific Tour Championships and World Championships and has started the training for two big events.
For the Xterra Asia-Pacific Tour, Miller will be joining different legs--Xterra La Union on March 26 and Xterra Danao on April 23. The other legs are Xterra Thailand on April 1, Xterra New Zealand on April 8 and Xterra Malaysia on April 29.
Miller of Team Ford Forza finished fifth overall in the men’s pro division of the Asia-Pacific Tour Championships after accumulating 251 season points.
On the other hand, one of Miller’s top races this year is the Xterra World Championships, on Oct. 29 in Kapalua, United States. Miller, who grew up in Sarangi Province, will be suiting up in this event for the third time as a pro off-road triathlete.
