ACTRESS KC Concepcion paid tribute to her mother, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who was celebrating her 51st birthday on Friday, January 6.
Concepcion took to Instagram to thank Cuneta for teaching her how to appreciate the small things in life and make the most of the opportunities given to her.
"She taught me to make moments special, to make every experience worthwhile. She taught me the value of travels that education goes beyond classroom walls," she said.
The actress said her mother allowed her to explore on her own and to experience the highs and lows of life, which, she said, helped her to become a stronger woman.
Concepcion wished her mother love and laughter as she turned a year older.
"To the woman who spices up our lives, whose words of encouragement can make me fly. You teach me so much in ways you know how and you move me in ways I will never truly understand. I will be forever grateful to have you. I am so thankful for us. I love you Mama soooo much. Happy happy birthday, my beautiful."
Cuneta, together with Concepcion, husband Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan and with their three kids are in Osaka, Japan for an 11-day vacation.
The whole family left Manila after Christmas and celebrated the New Year and Cuneta's birthday in their favorite places in Osaka. (Sunnex)
