THE Assumption College of Davao (ACD) Warriors demolished St. Columban College of Pagadian, 75-57, in on Saturday's semi-finals match of the 2017 Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (Ceap) at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University.

The Warriors, coached by Tristan Balino, were playing Xavier University of Cagayan de Oro City in the championship game as of Saturday.

Balino, in a Facebook chat with SunStar Davao, said their defense played a big factor to their victories.

"Number one yung defense talaga namin kasi hindi namin alam ang game plays ng kalaro namin," Balino said, adding that their ball movements will be consistent.

When asked on how they will XU in their titular showdown, Balino said they will impose pressure defense.

"We should take good care of the ball during the offense then relentless full court pressure defense," Balino said.

ACD is composed of BJ Sumogat, AJ Royo, Jaamal Bandalan, Arnold John Frend Heje, Cris Marvin Vistal, AJ Cenion, Jude Omaña, Leonard Salvame, Aaron Lapating, Paul Malano, Rene Yucampo, Gabriel Lazaraga, Jory Velarde, Carl Gudmalin and Alejandre Positos.
