TWO people, including a village watchman (tanod), were arrested in separate drug bust operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Sunday.
Arrested were Richard Tanpua, 33, a village watchman and Darfaisa Husain, 36, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula Information Officer Rogelio Alabata said.
Alabata said Tanpua was arrested in a drug bust operation around 8:05 p.m., Saturday, in the village of Zambowood, east of Zamboanga City.
Alabata said confiscated from the possession of Tanpua were three heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or locally known as "shabu" and P300 marked money consisting of three P100 bills.
Alabata said Husain, who is from Basilan province, was arrested around 4 p.m. Saturday along Corcuera Street in the village of Zone 4, Zamboanga City.
He said the arresting team seized from the possession of Husain six large size and one medium size sachets of suspected shabu and P1,000 marked money.
He said they were detained while appropriate charges are set to be filed against them. (Sunnex)
