JIKFI’s outreach program benefits 400 families

FAMILY members and volunteers of the King’s Group of Companies brought the legacy of the late entrepreneur and philanthropist Juanito I. King to the lives of 400 families in Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City last Dec. 22.

Through the Juanito I. King Foundation (JIKFI), the group distributed Noche Buena packages in the annual “Pakig-Ambit sa Pamilyang King.”

Members of the third and fourth generations of the King family led the distribution of the Noche Buena package that contained salad set, spaghetti set, soft drinks, and pear-shaped ham from King’s Quality Foods Inc. (KQFI).

Additional support and manpower were provided by Juanito King and Sons Inc., King Properties, Nito’s Auto Supply, RDAK Transport and Equipment Inc., 6R Mercantile and Skygo Marketing Corp. The main supplier for the event was Fooda Savers Mart Corp.

A few days before the outreach program, the foundation worked in partnership with Virgen de los Remedios Parish Church in Barangay Odlot, Bogo City for a two-day medical and dental mission from Dec. 17 and 18, with the use of JIKFI’s mobile dental van services.

Aside from medical and dental services, 530 beneficiaries also received packed lunch under the foundation’s meal-sharing program, in partnership with KQFI.

JIKFI is the Cebu Chamber of Commerce CSR (corporate social responsibility) Institution 2016 awardee.
