NO MEMBER of the Negros Occidental Provincial Board had incurred absences in the second half of 2016, SP records showed.
The 15 members of the August body had 24 sessions from July to December last year.
Board Members Jose Maria Alonso (Fourth District) and Salvador Escalante Jr. (Second District) have perfect attendance. Escalante was presiding officer pro-tempore six times.
Board Members Renato Malabor Jr. (Fifth District) and Helen Zafra (Sixth District) were present 23 times with one non-attendance each due to official business while Board Members Pedro Zayco (Sixth District) and Annabelle Bermudo, president of Liga ng mga Barangay in Negros Occidental, attended the session 22 times and missed two others due to official business.
Board Member Victor Javellana (Fourth District) was present 21 times with three non-attendance due to official leave while Board Members Alain Gatuslao (Fifth District) and Rommel Debulgado (First District) attended the session 20 times and missed four due to official leave.
Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, presiding officer, was present 18 times. He was not able to attend the session six times due to official business and official leave.
Board Members Antonio Encarguez (First District) and Manuel Ko (Third District) attended the session 17 times with seven non-attendance.
Encarguez was on official business during those times while Ko, aside from official travel, had official and sick leaves.
Board Members David Lacson (Fourth District) and Samson Mirhan (Second District) have the least number of attendance with 16. They missed the session eight times due to official business.
Board Member Valentino Alonso, president of Philippine Councilors League-Negros Occidental, also attended the session 16 times with one non-attendance due to official business. He assumed his post on August 31.
Meanwhile, a total of 885 resolutions, 18 appropriations, and 10 provincial ordinances were passed by the Provincial Board last year.
