Suspect in Catmon police chief's killing surrenders

THE remaining suspect in the murder of Catmon Police Station Chief Alexander Nuñez on Christmas Eve surrendered to Guihulngan City Police Station in Negros Oriental.

Jayme Cambaya Jayson, 22, turned himself to the police at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 12. He was accompanied by a public official.

Jayson was fetched today, January 13, by Provincial Intelligence Chief Joie Pacito Yape Jr.

Since Jayson voluntary surrendered, the P150,000 reward will not be given.

Jayson was one of the five brothers who allegedly killed Nuñez on Christmas Eve while he was heading home to his family. The killing happened in Barangay Puente, Carmen.
