MACABEBE -- A 36-year-old mother and her son were hacked to death in their own quarters in Barangay Consuelo in this town on Thursday by their fellow caretaker.
The mother, Sara Perez and her family, one-year-old SP (not his real name), and father Jojo Perez were identified caretakers of a fishpen and are from Hagonoy, Bulacan.
According to Barangay Consuela Captain Rolando Lopez, the victims were repeatedly stabbed by their drunken workmate identified as Michael Lazaro.
"Yung ulo ng nanay halos matanggal na sa sobrang dami ng taga tapos yung bata naman napuruhan sa paa," shared Lopez.
He added that the father was still seen breathing when they responded and was immediately brought to a hospital for medical attention.
Jojo is still in the hospital while the body of his wife and child is already brought to Bulacan.
Lazaro is now detained at the Macabebe Municipal Station and has been charged with double murder and frustrated murder.
