5 drug suspects killed, 2 others found dead

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- Five drug personalities were killed while two others were found dead in Bulacan, Thursday.

The killed drug suspects were identified as a certain alias Tipak and an unidentified man, both of Barangay Muzon, City of San Jose Del Monte; Marilyn Cruz, 26, a resident of Barangay Lungos, Pulilan town and a certain Roann, of Barangay Banga, Plaridel town, and a certain Edor, of Barangay Balite, Malolos City.

The bodies were an unidentified female discovered at the side of the road in Barangay Caysio, Sta. Maria town and an unidentified male found along Sitio Paculis road, Barangay Gaya-gaya, City of San Jose Del Monte.

Senior Superintendent Romeo Caramat, acting provincial director of Bulacan police, said that Tipak and the unidentified man noticed the presence of policemen during the buy-bust operation drew their guns and fired towards them.

After a brief firefight, the two died on the spot, Caramat said.

Recovered from the suspects were a sachet of shabu, two handguns and P500 marked money.

Suspects Cruz and Roann were standing at the road waiting for somebody when gunmen riding-in-tandem shot them several times. The two died on the spot.

Caramat said Cruz and Roann are known as pushers in Barangay Banga 1 and Barangay Banga 2 in Plaridel town.

He said alias Edor was killed during an armed encounter with police operatives in Barangay Bangkla, Malolos City. A calibre .38 revolver, a sachet of shabu and marked money were recovered from the area. (Ric Sapnu)
