Megaworld’s first luxury village in VisMin to rise in Bacolod City

MEGAWORLD Corp. is developing its first luxury village in the Visayas and Mindanao on its 53-hectare Northhill Gateway township situated along Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road.

Public Relations and Communications head Harold Geronimo said Monday in a press briefing that the project called Forbes Hill is a 15-hectare upscale residential village that will soon rise on a prime portion of the township’s Bacolod side.

“The land development will start this year or early next year while the selling starts after we can comply with the necessary requirements,” Geronimo said.

Rachelle Peñaflorida, vice president for sales and marketing of Megaworld Premiere Bacolod, said the project has bigger lot sizes, wide street roads, and first-class leisure and recreational amenities, promising a low-density community that evokes exclusivity and privacy to residents.

Peñaflorida said only 197 lots will be sold with sizes ranging from 449 square meters to 861 square meters at P16,000 to P17, 000 per square meter.

“This means there will only be 197 homeowners or even less in Forbes Hill thus, exclusivity and privacy are guaranteed and this is the true promise of luxury,” she said.

The luxury village project is Megaworld’s partnership with the Lacson family. It is 20 minutes away from the downtown area of Bacolod, 10 minutes from the city government center, and 15 minutes away from the airport.

Megaworld had also announced its 34-hectare mix-use development project called Upper East located at the eastern side of Bacolod that used to be the Bacolod-Murcia Milling company.
