Metropolis: PAL launch

OUR very own national carrier, Philippine Airlines (PAL) had recently welcomed its newest flight, which operates direct from Cebu to the Lion City Singapore as well as Cebu-Caticlan-Clark. Made complete with a press conference at the San Martin Room and the actual dinner launch and show at the Nina Ballroom of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City, this afternoon/evening event was just as exciting for everyone alike!

There are four weekly flights, which take place every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on the PR517 departing from Cebu at 10 p.m. and arriving in Singapore at 1:45 a.m. (next day). The return flight on the PR518 also operates four times weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing Singapore at 2.45 a.m. and arriving in Cebu at 6:40 a.m. These flights, on the 199-seater A321s, come very helpful for travellers who especially have connecting flights to and from the Visayas region, without having to travel all the way to the capital.

Apart from that, PAL had also welcomed the daily flight from Cebu-Caticlan-Clark on the Q400 aircraft departing Cebu at 8:40 a.m. and arriving at 9:40 a.m. in Caticlan and the return from Caticlan departing at 13:10 and arriving in Cebu at 14:10. For the Cebu-Clark (via Caticlan route), the flight takes off from Cebu at 8:40 a.m. and arriving at Clark at 11:15 a.m. The return departs Clark at 11:35 (via Caticlan) to Cebu touching down at 14:10.

PAL’s newest service between the Queen City of the South and the Lion City of Asia will bring to six as the total number of international routes from Cebu. The Cebu-Caticlan and Cebu-Clark (via Caticlan) operations will bring it to 10 as the total number for PAL domestic connections. Overall, PAL has a total of 217 flights from Cebu every week!

Why fly PAL? (1) It is our very own national carrier serving millions of passengers for the past 75 years (2) PAL is very committed to serve straight from the heart and (3) PAL is definitely helping the country for tourism. In addition to this, life can get more rewarding by checking www.mabuhaymiles.com or go to any PAL ticket office for PAL’s loyalty program that is open to anyone above the age of two. It’s true that Mabuhay Miles is one of the most generous frequent flyer programs on the market, where you can start earning flight miles through qualifying flights on PAL and on code-share partners (tickets must be sold by PAL) to hotel stays, car rentals, travel needs and telecommunications.
