THE Xavier University Men’s and Women’s football varsity teams are organizing the First Crusaders Football Festival Cup on January 28 to 29 at the Westrdige Sports Park in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.
The two-day 7-Aside competition is organized with the partnership of the Beta Sigma Fraternity and Sigma Beta Sorority.
The tournament is for Under (U)10 Mixed (2007), U13 Boys (2004), U16 Boys (2001), U19 Boys (1998), U13 Girls (2004) and U17 Girls (2000) on Jan. 28 and for Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Men’s Above 35 (1982) on January 29.
Tournament organizer and Xavier Men’s Varsity team captain Ivan Caina also said that the deadline of registration will be one hour before the first matches during the tournament dates.
He added early birds will pay only P850 on or before January 21 while after that registration is already pegged at P1,000.

The tournament is sanctioned by the local FA Mocagesco under Percy Guarin and the Philippine Football Federation.
The First Crusaders Cup is second tournament this year in Cagayan de Oro of a busy football calendar. The Rosevale Cup will also kick off on January 21 to 22 at the Rosevale School field inside the Xavier Estates subdivision in Upper Balulang.
