DSWD seeks public help in finding kin of abandoned boy

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 in Cebu City is appealing for the public’s help in finding the parents or relatives of an abandoned boy.

The boy, who is estimated to be about one year and eight months old, was left inside the San Nicolas Parish in Barangay Pasil, Cebu City, and was found by Weson Nacilla at 11 a.m. last May 27, 2016.

Failure of the parents and relatives to appear or claim the child within three months will subject the child for the filing of administrative abandonment in DSWD Central Office, said the Adoption Resource and Referral System, DSWD 7 Operations Section in a press release.

The boy’s parents or relatives may see social worker Marianee S. Gabriel at DSWD 7 Office at the corner of M.J. Cuenco Ave. and General Maxilom Ave. in Barangay Carreta, Cebu City, or contact (032) 412-9908/2329507.

One may also contact the nearest City or Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office.
