AN allegedly big-time drug pusher was arrested by operatives of the intelligence unit of the Cebu City Police Office after he was found in possession of more than P2 million worth of illegal drugs.
Police uncovered yet again that the suspect’s source of information on where to get his supply is an inmate of the Cebu City Jail.
Chief Insp. Cristopher Navida said that suspect Jordan Evao Zabala, 29, admitted in an interrogation that he received instructions through a cellular phone from a detainee, who is also facing drug charges in court.
The detainee belongs to a faction inside the city jail.
Navida said that another group is operating in the facility in Barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City. The main supplier is from the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City, according to Navida.
Zabala, a high-value target, was caught by the team led by Navida in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Calamba at 2:30 a.m.
He allegedly yielded packs of shabu that weighed 173 grams.
The operatives, assisted by Police Station 6 personnel, discovered the drugs after serving a warrant of arrest against Zabala for his failure to attend trial for his illegal possession of firearm case.
