2 drug suspects killed in drug bust

TWO drug personalities were killed in separate drug bust in Negros Oriental in the past week.

In Canlaon City, Roland Parana was shot after he resisted arrest by police operatives at Barangay Panubigan on Thursday.

While doing a transaction, Parana noticed the presence of policemen, prompting him to pull out his firearm that led to a shootout, according to the Canlaon City Police Station.

In Dumaguete City, a certain “Isaw” died after he attempted to escape from policemen during a drug bust at Barangay Bagacay last Tuesday.

When policemen introduced themselves, the suspect drew his firearm and fired a shot at one of the operatives, but the latter evaded it.

Police recovered four sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) and a .38 caliber revolver with ammunition.

Meanwhile, in Bacolod City, Jesronel Sitjar, 30, died at the hospital after he sustained head injuries.

Sitjar was shot by an unidentified man on a motorcycle at Purok Cagaycay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City on Thursday.

Police recovered a bullet of .45 caliber pistol.
