Domogan stressed the Filipino-Chinese community has played a major role in the history and development of the city of pines and continues to do various programs for the society.

“They have always been there to assist the City Government of Baguio in serving the public most especially during times of calamity,” added the mayor.

The City Government has institutionalized the celebration of the Chinese New Year in Baguio through City Ordinance no. 18, series of 1999.
