Iloilo City gov’t offers reward to arrest 10 drug personalities

THE Iloilo City Government will be giving out bounty for the immediate arrest of 10 illegal drug personalities of the city.

During the Iloilo City Peace and Order Council (ICPOC) meeting Monday, January 23, Iloilo City Police Office Acting City Director Remus Zacharias Canieso recommended the issuance of rewards to arrest Richard Prevendido, Ariel Prevendido, Troy John Prevendido, Ana Penecilla, Romeo Penecilla; Rampart Gregori, Errol Barcebas, Jessica Mino, Ma. Beauty dela Cruz, and Niven Dejeron.

The 10 drug personalities have pending warrants of arrest.

ICPOC members, headed by Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog, unanimously approved Canieso’s recommendation.

The City Government will give P500,000 reward for the arrest of Richard Prevendido and P10,000 for nine other drug personalities. The bounty will come from confidential intelligence fund of the City Government, according to Mabilog.

Canieso made it clear that the bounty will only be given once the operation to be conducted is positive.

Richard, a suspected drug group leader of Prevendido drug group, is considered a high value target by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Western Visayas.

PDEA Assistant Regional Director Levi Ortiz previously said Richard is hard to catch since he is constantly transferring from one area to another.

“There were information that he (Richard) is here (in Western Visayas) and we also received information that he is outside of Western Visayas,” said Ortiz.

In a previous statement of Iloilo Police Provincial Office Director Harold Tuzon, he said he received information that Richard went into hiding in Iloilo province.

Richard is either hiding in the second or fifth district of Iloilo Province, added Tuzon. (PNA)
