EXECUTED. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has confirmed that overseas Filipino worker Jakatia Pawa from Zamboanga del Norte was executed by hanging at 10:19 a.m. in Kuwait (3:19 p.m., Manila time).

FREEDOM. Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that President Rodrigo Duterte will sign next week an order giving executive clemency to 127 elderly and sick prisoners detained at the national penitentiary.

DAMAGE. Six regions hit by flooding and landslides spawned by the tail-end of a cold front since January 16 reported that damage to infrastructure and crops has topped P364 million.
