AGE Well Solutions International, the company that distributes Better Air in the Philippines, is tapping Cebu’s booming health and wellness industry.
Better Air is a probiotic-based air and surface purification system launched in the US in 2015. Its products and technology are manufactured in Europe with the probiotic liquid produced in Belgium.
Cebuana nurse Shari, the vice president, and husband Harry Obsitos, president and CEO of Age Well Solutions, picked Cebu as the launching pad of the product in the Philippines, citing Cebu’s growing health conscious and wellness advocate market.
The company said that the rising awareness in health and environmental issues had led to an increased demand for natural cleaning and purification products.
Unlike conventional purification and cleaning methods, Better Air technology replenishes indoor spaces with beneficial bacteria to clean the surroundings and purify the air.
Its patented technology releases environmental probiotics known as bacillus ferment. These probiotics released into the air consume organic irritants.
Harry sees the product beneficial even at homes and to establishments packed by employees like BPOs, because of the level of indoor pollution about two to five times higher than outdoor.
“If we can focus on improving the quality of food and water we take in, we should likewise focus on the air we are breathing in,” said Harry.
The couple also acknowledged that Better Air’s entry into the Philippines is a paradigm shift. He said more than just selling, the team will also invest in educating the consumers.
Better Air offers a range of products designed to fit any indoor space, from small rooms to large commercial buildings. Its clients around the globe cover various industries such as commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning, agriculture, marine, transportation, elderly care facilities and hospitals.
Age Well has an office in Bulacao, Pardo. The company is eyeing to set up sales centers in malls to reach out to more clients. After Cebu, Harry said they will bring the product to Manila and other key cities in the country.
Age Well is foudned in Seattle, Washington. The Obsitos will oversee the Philippine market.
