FIFTEEN Day Care centers in the city received P3.7 million worth of toys and playground equipment from the City of Bacolod.
Mayor Monico Puentevella congratulated the City Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) for its laudable job in taking care of pre-school children in Bacolod.
“I am proud of what you have achieved in implementing programs extending help to the less fortunate,” Puentevella told the DSSD staff and the rest of the city government employees during Monday’s flag-raising rites.
The children’s development materials were released to representatives of 15 day care centers situated in Barangays of Estefania, Villamonte, Taculing, Banago, Mandalagan, Handumaman, Tangub, Punta Taytay, Barangay 1, 3, 19, 35, and 40.
Turned over were manipulative toys and playground-outdoor devices such as swings, slides, and rings.
