Buy-bust nets three 'pushers' in Minglanilla

Police arrested three alleged drug personalities in separate operations in MiNglanilla last Wednesday. Chief Insp. Dexter Calacar, the town police chief, led his team in arresting suspected pushers Silvino Ingbino Satore, Jr. and his alleged cohort, Raul Cotinar Etienza, during a buy-bust in Barangay Vito. Six small packs of suspected shabu were seized from the suspects. Three hours later, Louie Montesclaros Janes was also arrested in a buy-bust in Barangay Calajo-an. Three small sachets of shabu were recovered from him. Suspects will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165.

Female 'pushers' fall, 3 men escape in buy-bust

Two women were caught while their three alleged cohorts escaped during a buy-bust in Barangay Cubacub, Mandaue City last Wednesday dawn. Claire Campaner, 25, a resident of Tres de Abril in Cebu City, and Rosalyn Ampong, 29, from Purok 7 in Cubacub, were arrested by a team from the Mandaue Police Station 6. Two male suspects were able to escape by jumping from the window while another one left through the back door. PO1 Alvin Palapo of the Police Station 6 said they recovered two sachets of shabu and drug paraphernalia from Campaner and Ampong.

'Shabu,' firearms seized in two Cebu City villages

Three persons were arrested for carrying firearms and drugs in Barangays Lahug and Guadalupe in Cebu City last Wednesday. The Police Station 4 responded to a call about an armed person onboard a motorcycle in Lahug. Arrested were Jose Sanchez, 38, and Christian Oyales, 22, who both yielded a sachet of shabu. In Guadalupe, Ernenio Navaro, 26, was also caught for carrying .22 Black Widow loaded with two live bullets. Sanchez, Oyales and Navarro will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and for possession of illegal firearms.
