Nature-based park opens in Zamboanga City

A NATURE-BASED recreational park has opened on Saturday, January 28, in the village of San Roque, Zamboanga City.

San Roque Village Chief Joselito Macrohon said the park is known as the Bog Lake Recreation Park with variety of amenities.

The amenities of the park include the following: zip line, boating, mini zoo; tree house, play ground, zorb ball, water walking ball, cottages, horse riding, fishing, fish feeding, and floating cottage.

Macrohon said that a drone is also available for rent for visitors who want to document their visit at the park.

He said they have allocated P1 million to improve the park, which will serve as an economic enterprise of San Roque as this will be managed by the San Roque village council.

The official said entry and use of amenities in the park on Saturday was free of charge since it was the opening day.

Initially, he said the park will be opened to the public from Friday to Sunday. Later it will be opened daily.

Macrohon said they have come up with the project to provide the opportunity to the people to enjoy nature while having a recreation. (Bong Garcia/SunStar Philippines)
