NOHSAAI bowling Season 1 finals on

CLASSES ‘99, ‘90, and 2000-Up have the "twice-to-beat advantage" as the 2016-17 NOHS @ 115 - NOHSAAI "Unity Cup" Bowling Fellowship Season stepladder finals starts off at Negros Super Lanes.

Class ‘99 led by manager Joemar Baylon and standout Richard Secuelan grabbed the top spot after scoring a total of 7,201 pinfalls with a 458-454-475 in the bracketing finals.

Teams eager to challenge Class ‘99 in the championship round are Class ‘96 - 7,177; Class ‘85 - 7,103; Class ‘66 - 7,059; and Class ‘94 - 7,052.

Other results in bracket "A" saw Class ‘71 with a 6,998; Class ‘82 - 6,959; Class’97 - 6,957; Class ‘95 - 6,955; and Class ‘87 - 6,755.

Class ‘90 spearheaded Mike Corral maintained its comfortable lead in bracket B with 7,221 after accumulating a series of 475-464-454.

Trying to climb up and grab the upperhand are Class ‘87 - 7,089; Class ‘80 - 6,981; Class ‘68 - 6,908; and Class ‘74 - 6,866.

The rest in bracket “B” are Class’ 89 - 6,821; Class ‘70 - 6,703; Golden - 6,634; Class’ 84 - 6,574; and Class’ 77 - 6,420.

2000-Up with Galvan siblings – Rommel, Raymund, Ronel – reclaimed the top spot in bracket C with 7,081 pfs on a 493-461-482 run.

Highest scorers this season are: (pinning) Tura of Class ‘80 with 94 pinfalls and Neneng of Class ‘74 with 93 ; (single) Cero Cordova of Class ‘68 with 150, and Lea Uy of Class ‘71 with 130.

The top thrower in (triple) are Essho Garcia of Class ‘95 with 379 and Uy with 336. Best team single went to Class ‘87 with 592 & team triple to Class ‘95 with 1,574.

Master bowlers were Peter Deocadez of Class ‘94 and also Uy.

The stepladder shootout will be played in a blind and spread format while teams that did not qualify must play in the consolation game to determine the winners in each bracket. (HGD)
