THE restoration of capital punishment in the Philippines took a step closer to passage as the House justice committee approved the death penalty bill last December 7, 2016 and the measure is now slated for plenary debates.
Critics voiced out their opposition to the passage of the bill in the committee level, saying it was hastened.
