73 kilos of infected chicken confiscated in Carbon Market

THE Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries confiscated Sunday, January 29, about 73 kilograms of chicken feet reportedly inflicted with the bumblefoot sickness in Carbon Market amounting to P4,000.

City Veterinarian Dr. Alice Utlang explained that the chicken's feet became infected due to the cage wire.

Utlang said the thin wires are not strong enough to bear the weight of the chickens causing the infection. (RTF)
