A GRADE school teacher was shot dead Tuesday afternoon in Barangay Carayman, Calbayog City in Samar province.
The victim was identified as Mardone Repol, 52, a resident of Sta. Margarita, Samar, and a grade school teacher of Carayman Elementary School, said Facebook user Gina Dean.
The shooting incident reportedly happened around 3 p.m. at Purok 4 in Barangay Carayman.
Police are still conducting investigation on the incident, which occurred hours after two security aids of the mayor of the nearby town of San Jorge were injured in grenade attacks. (SunStar Philippines)
